Afterschool Openings

Lead Teacher

  1. Teach and supervise children ages 3-5.

  2. Prepare children for kindergarten by introducing concepts they will explore further in kindergarten and elementary school.

  3. Plan and implementing a curriculum that targets different areas of child development, such as language, along with the motor and social skills.

  4. Organize activities so children can learn about the world, explore interests, and develop talents.

  5. Watch for signs of emotional or developmental problems in children and bring any problems to the attention of parents.

  6. Keep records of the students’ progress, routines, and interests, and keep parents informed about their child’s development.

Assistant Teacher

  1. Under the supervision of a teacher, interacting with children, preparing snacks, teaching children about numbers, colors, and shapes, helping them get dressed

  2. Work with the teacher to facilitate activities for all children both indoors and outdoors

  3. Plans with and assists the teacher in preparing materials and supplies in advance for activities

  4. Assists the teacher in maintaining confidential child classroom folders, by collecting monthly samples of children’s work.

  5. Assists the teacher in maintaining discipline and supervision of children during all activities.

  6. Assists the teacher in safeguarding all classroom supplies and equipment
